On August 16th, The Restoration House and Piney Grove Baptist Church partnered together to throw a huge block party for all our neighbors to thank them for their continued patience with the building of The Village, as well as to share with them the progress firsthand. At our July Family Night we recognized the moms who successfully completed the 12 week Faith & Finance program. This class has been very helpful for our families as they study financial literacy through the lens of restoration with God, self, others and creation. We are so thankful for the Westside YMCA for providing a great space to meet. On July 26th The Restoration House, including TRH families, staff and mentors, all converged at Hardin Valley Church of Christ for our quarterly Family Night. It was a very fun night filled with bountiful food, laughter, water games for the kids, and powerful training for the adults. Alan retired as CEO of Covenant Health Systems in 2000 and for the last 14 years has been doing healthcare and strategic consulting. He and his wife Linda have faithfully served in the community through the church for many years. They currently are serving on a Restoration House Mentor Team, walking alongside a young single mom and her daughter. Alan joined the board in April of 2014.
